I am writing
some flyfishing reports for my fishing friends living in other
countries, Bob,Mr.Okuda,Keizo, other FFF Japan members and Mr.Yoshikazu
,Mr.Kuno, Mr .Stanly Boots, Mr.Toshio,Mr.Tadahiro and some other
friends.

(Kiwha
stream ,19,April,2001) Water temp.:14-15 Celsius.
It was about 10. AM when we arrived at CashBox
of Kiwha stream. We named this spot Cashbox because
the spot often produce many big rainbows.Rays
of sunglight struck on the water surface and windy at times. Just
before we got off the car,we saw the big
rise 3-4m down the CashBox.So surprising scene!! Big caddis constantly
touched the water surface to lay eggs
and our rainbows rised to them eagerly. I've experenced the scene
like that about 10 years ago.That time
there was no tunnel that makes fishermen come to this spot easily.No
roads,Many fish!!!

I stalked the spot after handing over
the camera to Mr Sung. And first presentate JB parachute to
check their action.One rainbow rised forcefully to the hook
and refused it at once.
Re-presentation at the tail of the flow
.But no effect. I thought,it's caddis matched.So I changed
the hook for stmulator.But again refusal!!Stimulator crossing
over the flow once again ,I made actions in this time.
As I tried 3 times
like this presentat-tion, one trout swallowed the hook finally.Immediately
on swallowing the hook,the Rainbow ran away down.And jumping....pulled
by force and turned his head opposite me.
It took 5 minutes to scoop up him with
net.While I fought with him, caddis

hovered above the water and
the rises of our rainbows was continued.I heard Mr.Sung shot the
camera on and on with a click.Now,Mr.sung
touched the batton and admired 35cm trout easily. And again in my
turn.Rise of trouts was not likely to cool down.I added some big
ones.

But after Mr.Sung went upstream to fish
at JoMa Run ( JoMa means Ghost of
fishing ,nickname of our club member Mr.Choi Jong Seok) the
frequency of the rise gradually calmed down.
It's time to fish nymph.I set the leader
newly and flipped the rod to drop the Black Stone 1m ahead
the Cash Box.
And deaddrift.....when the hook passed
away the deepest water of the Cash Box,I saw black back
of the rainbow . Once I made actions on the hook, the trout
accepted the hook with no resitance.It
was 38cm . But judging from the tail worn ,over 40cm,I am
certain.
The sun was shining overhead .No rise
and 4-5 rainbows kept their lies without any interests on
hooks.

Among them,there was about
45-50cm trophy.I tried all nymphs I got, to meet him. But as you
guess,that guy didn't pay attention at all.What a cunning fish!!!
There's no other way.I walked upstream to check
the products of Mr.Sung.
Mr. Sung got much fun upstream.He met 10 rainbows.Among
them he caught, there was a big one.How wonderful to fish at the
dancing water!!!
